What's your why? Part A

WHY:

I believe that learning is a lifelong process, and that is why it is important to  encourage the holistic development of each learner by providing them choice, ownership and voice through authentic learning where they can achieve excellence through effort and grit. My goal is to create a significant learning environment (CSLE) to assist them in becoming active, lifelong learners who embrace challenges and find success, even in small increments.

HOW:

Learning is an ongoing journey that demands dedication and grit, which is why it is important to foster a growth mindset in students from the beginning. To assist in the development of lifelong learners who recognize that their success comes from their continued effort and grit, I propose integrating more choice, ownership, voice, and authentic learning experiences (COVA) opportunities by establishing a significant learning environment (CSLE), where they are encouraged to become self-directed learners. By valuing effort, prioritizing holistic development, and providing diverse experiences, students will learn to see challenges as growth opportunities and develop resilience, creating an environment that empowers them to embrace challenges and succeed in any endeavor.

WHAT / RESULT:

Students in a classroom that emphasizes dedication, grit, and a growth mindset will develop resilience and a positive attitude toward challenges, viewing them as opportunities for growth. This environment fosters collaboration, autonomy, and holistic development, empowering students to set and achieve ambitious goals while becoming confident, self-directed learners equipped to tackle any challenge.
