Contribution to Your Learning and the Learning Community

Both courses proved to be highly challenging, primarily because each assignment was composed of multiple, intricate components. I contributed in building my core collaboration group by being accessible to my fellow students and responding quickly to requests.  I feel like we have  a good group and I'm sorry we only have 2 courses left to continue our collaboration efforts. 

 

My collaboration team was very engaged throughout the process, I actively contributed to conversations by offering resources, seeking advice, and providing clarity for others when needed.  I often took a leadership position by providing information or beginning discussions in our TEAMS group.   My collaborative team also consistently supported one another, fostering a cooperative and productive learning environment. To document my own contributions, I recorded a short video showcasing the assistance I provided to my teammates in both courses.

I completed all the course readings and watched all the videos, often referring back to them while completing assignments. I revised my work several times before submission and, in some cases, even after submission, knowing it would be reviewed in the compilation post at the end of the course. Additionally, I completed all discussion questions and thoughtfully responded to the posts of my classmates in a timely manner, contributing to the overall dialogue and enhancing the collective learning experience. I also took the initiative to contribute to the class discussions.  I met all deadlines.

What works well for me is the project-based format of these courses. In developing a new course, I not only applied my existing knowledge but also thought deeply about the course creation process and all its moving parts. The main thing I can improve is not worrying too much about what I don’t know and allowing the process of creating a course from scratch to teach me through experience.

Designing a complete course from the ground up has given me the ability to adjust lessons as needed based on my students' progress. I am excited to implement the courses I developed in the coming weeks and observe how the planning and structure contribute to my students' success. This experience has provided valuable insights into how thorough preparation can enhance flexibility and responsiveness in teaching.
